Finding Strength in the Lord

As we continue our series in 1 and 2 Samuel, we find David hiding out with the Philistines. While away, David and his men’s home base is raided by the Amalekites, who take away all their wives and children. It is an emotional time and a precarious moment for David’s leadership. What will he do? In this trial, David turns to the Lord to find strength in him. In the strength and leading of the Lord David is able to rescue the taken family members, have victory over the Amalekites, and lead with wisdom and grace. How do look to the Lord and his strength as we go through trials in our lives?
