In the book of Proverbs 1:7 we read that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” As we recognize God’s authority and holiness, seeking him for guidance, leaning on his truth, we then can begin to move into a right living. The book of James helps us do just that, pointing us and guiding us into a righteous way of living in a broken world. If knowledge begins with the fear and or reverence of our all powerful God, then wisdom is the hands and feet of that knowledge. James teaches us that there is a wisdom that is demonic and wisdom that flows from heaven which produces a harvest of righteousness. Join us this Sunday as James challenges us to examine what we are doing with the beautiful truth of God’s Word.
