As we continue our series in James, we come to what is probably the best known passage from this letter. Here James makes the point that genuine faith in Christ not only saves us, but also brings forth from us deeds that show the character of Christ. As John Calvin puts it, we are saved by faith alone, but not by a faith that is alone. The things we are doing and saying in our lives should match the faith we profess. In what area of life might we need some realignment so we can be living more wholly in our faith?
