Signs of Faith

Pastor Eric Everhart

As we enter into a new ministry season, our middle school students will be focusing on the many “Sign of their Faith.” To help them begin thinking about this, we challenged the  middle schoolers to find different road signs, take a picture with that sign, write out an explanation of how it relates to their faith, and then find a biblical text for their explanation.

Many of our students took on the challenge and we will share some of their insights with you over the next several weeks. They hunted down road signs for nine weeks, so we won’t be able to show them all, but we would like to share a few.

From Gracie Stallard:

Blind Child Area  “This sign means that someone in the neighborhood is blind and cannot see. This sign kind of relates to the world of faith. Faith means believing in what you can’t see. When you’re a Christian you have faith, because you can’t physically see Jesus, but when you believe in him, he is right there with you.”

“Walk by faith not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7

From Emery Roodvoets:

Yield SignThis yield sign tells us to slow down, look and beware of what is going on around us on the road. God asks that we slow down as well and to read His words in the Bible so we can be focused on Him and so that he can guide us.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
