This Sunday evening we continue our series in 1 John. The text for this Sunday evening begins with one of the main statements of the letter: God is light. So, if we are in fellowship with the Lord, it means we will walk in his light. There are many things this means, but John highlights a few in these verses, including confessing our sins, seeking to walk in God’s ways, and loving our brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus brings us into God’s light and life through his work on the cross, and we are called to continue walking in that light throughout our lives.
