As we continue making our way through the statements of faith in the Nicene Creed, we come to the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Through the Spirit, God continues to be at work and present with his people now. He gives us life by opening our hearts to faith in Jesus, and he continues to shape our lives to become more and more like our Savior. As Jesus promises in John 14, the Spirit teaches us in the way of truth, and gives us the peace and presence of the Lord to help us now, and assure us that we will live with the Lord forever.
