This Sunday morning we continue our Fruit of the Spirit series by reflecting on the fruit of joy. What does this word mean? In Scripture it certainly is pointing to something more than just happiness, yet we often still define it this way. Christian joy is something that is embedded deep in the heart of the believer, and so isn’t easily removed or blown away. This deep joy flows from faith in who God is and what he has done, and impacts the way we approach and respond to the different situations we encounter in our lives. How is the joy of the Spirit evident in our lives? What things might be robbing us of that joy in our walk of faith?
