Everyone who visited Jesus, even from the beginning, in that manger, has been changed. Encountering Jesus helps us take on life from a different perspective. Those who choose to follow find out the “different route” is the better route to take. Which leads us to the question, how have we been changed by encountering Jesus? Which road have you been traveling on in 2024? Have you journeyed on a righteous path? Are you satisfied that the direction you have been traveling is the course God wants you to take? I think we all need to find new ways to live our lives that reflect our understanding of Jesus and our experience with him. After all, throughout Advent we have come to worship the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, the Prince of Peace, King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Immanuel. Since we believe the story and the person it is about. . . let’s find new ways to live it. I challenge you to take a different route in some aspect of your life in the year of our Lord, 2025.
