This Sunday evening we begin a series going through the book of 1 John. One of the things emphasized in this letter is that Jesus is both fully God and fully human. The opening verses go into this right away as John describes Jesus as one who has been seen, heard and touched. The life God is bringing to his people isn’t just some spiritual idea, it is physical, historical reality. This truth is important for the church to know and uphold. As we strive for unity in our fellowship and mission, it starts with getting right who our King is, and the life he brings to us.
