God is Faithful From A to Z
All who gather this Thanksgiving Day
Come close and hear what I have to say
‘Bout the God who is, will be, and was
And how he is faithful in all he does
And when we’re done I think you will see
Our God is faithful from A to Z
Apples he grows year upon year
Bread that he gives us for cheer
Colors bedazzle creation’s pages
Dawn’s light he gives the grandest of stages
Eyes to see and ears to hear
Family to hold us close and dear
We have much to be thankful for so keep up with me
The next letter in order has to be G
Grace that is greater than all our sin
Homes begins with H where we shelter and find rest in
Instruments lifting up songs of praise
Justice rolling like the ocean waves
Kangaroos who hop at his command
Lions who await food from your hand
M, N, O, and P giving thanks once again
Coming up next in this poem is the letter M
Medicine to heal
Nectars to taste
Oranges to peel
Poultry to baste
Quilts with a touch oh so soft
Robins singing songs from the heart
Scripture that shows to us the path of life
Tenderness for griefs that cut like a knife
Umbrella begins with U to keep us out of the rain
V is for Violins to lead us in the refrain
White pines that soar to majestic heights
Xbox games in which some of us delight
Yesterday we would fall and we would wander
But now…
Zip codes, a new address, he has for us up yonder
The eyes of all look to you and they see
That you, our God is in all things, faithful from A to Z
