Signs of Faith Pt. 5

As we enter into a new ministry season, our middle school students will be focusing on the many “Sign of their Faith.” To help them begin thinking about this, we challenged the  middle schoolers to find different road signs, take a picture with that sign, write out an explanation of how it relates to their faith, and then find a biblical text for their explanation. Here are a few more of their signs.

From Daniel Egler:

STOP  “I think that the stop sign relates to my faith because I try to not fall into temptation and I try to stop and think about if it is a good idea or not. I think that I need to use this in my faith more often, because sometimes I do not make good decisions. So sometimes I need to stop and think if it is a good idea or not, and if I should be doing this or not.”

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

From Caleb Meginley: 

ROAD ENDS “I realized that if I didn’t have God in my life I would go to hell and my road or path to heaven would end. The way that this applies to my faith is that it is hard to choose the narrow and small road but with faith in Jesus it will be easier to find the small gate and follow the narrow road.”  

“Enter through the narrow gate . For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction ,and many enter through it . But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it .”  Matthew 7: 13-14

From Emily Everhart: 

SHARP TURN AHEAD “There are some tough times in life and your life is not going the way you want it to be. Jesus helps and carries you throughout life and the tough times. The road of life will have some sharp turns and some crazy turns but God will always be with me.”  

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Isaiah 41:10
