Signs of Faith Pt. 2

..Pastor Eric Everhart

As we enter into a new ministry season, our middle school students will be focusing on the many “Sign of their Faith.” To help them begin thinking about this, we challenged the  middle schoolers to find different road signs, take a picture with that sign, write out an explanation of how it relates to their faith, and then find a biblical text for their explanation.

Many of our students took on the challenge and we will share some of their insights with you over the next several weeks. They hunted down road signs for nine weeks, so we won’t be able to show them all, but we would like to share a few.

From Ava Williams:

Do Not Enter  “I chose this one because in my faith I see myself doing the wrong thing sometimes and I just get a feeling like this it’s not what God would want me to do and I am going the wrong way and not going towards God.”

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

From Ashlee Weesaw:

Yield SignYield signs mean slow down and think of what the Lord would want you to do. You should listen to God’s plan.”

Be still and know that he is God.” Psalm 46:10

From Will Harkema:

Road Work AheadThis sign represents how God is and will be working in our lives. We should expect it and have to watch out for it.”

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13
