This Sunday morning we reflect on a passage in Luke, where Jesus challenges those following him to consider the cost of being his disciple. Through a couple of different examples, Jesus says that it is wise to consider what you are getting into by committing to being his disciple before making that commitment. This is important, because Jesus calls his followers to completely surrender to him, and to make following him the top priority of their lives. Jesus doesn’t promise that the road will be easy, but he does promise that following him will lead to everlasting and abundant life.
