As we continue our series in 2 Corinthians this Sunday evening, we reflect on chapter 4 of this letter. Paul continues to write about the glory of the gospel and being a servant of it. The gospel is a treasure, but that treasure is entrusted by God to us human beings who are frail and unworthy on this earth. However, this only serves to highlight God’s power and grace all the more. The gospel is not about our abilities or character, but God’s. There is encouragement in this for us too, because we know that by God’s power and grace we are being renewed now, and prepared for life eternal.
