This Sunday evening we continue our series in 2 Corinthians, by considering this passage in which Paul calls on the church to restore to fellowship one who had previously sinned and caused some grief in the community. Since true repentance has been shown by this individual, it is proper for them to be restored and for the church to forgive and move forward. We still deal with sin in the life of the church and the impacts it causes. It is important for us to address our sins as a community, but we also need to be intentional about speaking and acting in forgiveness and restoration when repentance occurs.
