This Sunday is the first in the season of Advent. This year our theme for the season is to make room. As the Lord has made room for us in his kingdom, how can we be making room for him and for our neighbors in our lives? This week we begin by thinking about making room for Christ in our lives. Mary and Joseph had plans and dreams about what the future would look like, but then came an angel visit calling them to make room for the coming Messiah. Sometimes our lives are so filled with our plans and relationships that there is little if any room left for Jesus. What will it take to make more room for him in our lives in this season?
