This Sunday evening, we pick up our series in 2 Corinthians again, by reflecting on the closing verses of chapter 3. In this passage, Paul makes a comparison between the ministry of Moses in the old covenant with the ministry he and others are doing now in the new covenant. There was glory in the old covenant, seen most visibly upon Moses’ face as he came down from the mountain, but that glory is surpassed by that of the new covenant now ushered in by Christ. Where the glory of the old covenant diminished over time, the glory of the new covenant only grows greater as the Spirit transforms believers from the inside out.
