As we continue our series in 2 Corinthians, we come to chapter 11, in which Paul is still defending his ministry against accusations being brought by other teachers who have come to Corinth. As Paul defends the character with which he has carried out his ministry, he is making the case that this is the character of a true apostolic ministry, and therefore these other teachers, who’s ministry doesn’t display this character, are only masquerading as apostles of Christ. As we look to leaders in the church, it is important to see the character of their ministry matching the character of Christ, and for all of us who follow Jesus, these verses remind us of the type of character that should show up in our lives and service as well.
