Montana Bound!

Pastor Eric

It’s so hard to believe, but our trip to Montana with our middle schoolers is finally here! A year of planning and preparing has finally come down to 3 days and a wake up! Highway routes are mapped out, packing is almost done, vehicles are serviced, bags will soon be loaded, and our leadership team is ready to go! It’s time to hit the road!

As we journey into this amazing trip, our most important preparation has been PRAYER! Asking God to lead us, guide us, and for the Holy Spirit to be present during this time of spiritual growth and travel. We never know exactly what to expect on these awesome trips, but one thing is certain….God will be with us for every step. I don’t just hope that God is going to do big things with our students and leaders during this journey, I expect God to do big things!!!

Do you expect God to do big things in your life? Sometimes we are so busy being busy that we don’t see, hear, smell, taste, or feel what our awesome God is already doing! Our senses are so overwhelmed with the world that we can miss out on the big ways God is working in our lives and in the world. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

Our students and leaders this week will be disconnected from phones, social media, the noise of the news, and the distractions of this world to focus on one thing, THE MAIN THING, their relationship with Jesus Christ! We have an amazing opportunity to create a space in God’s beautiful creation for this to happen, to reorganize our priorities and declutter schedules so that all our senses can be attuned to the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I challenge you to do the same this week! Don’t be so busy being busy that you miss the sweetness of his love, the taste of his truth, the sight of his handiwork, the sound of his voice or feel the touch of his Grace! Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.”

We ask for and covet your prayers for our students and leaders this week. Click here to download a list of the students and leaders to pray for during the week. Pray for safe travels, great fellowship, for God’s presence, changed hearts through the Holy Spirit, transformation through Jesus Christ, and that we see the BIG things God is doing during the week.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
